and the trust of our customers. Below, we explain the significance and importance of the
certifications that endorse our almonds:

Demeter

The Demeter certification is a quality seal that guarantees that a product has been cultivated and produced following the principles of biodynamic agriculture. This certification is managed by the organization Demeter International, which establishes strict standards for sustainable and ecological agricultural production. It is based on a holistic approach, where the farm is seen as a living organism in which all its parts are interconnected. Biodynamic preparations made from herbs, minerals, and manure are used to improve soil fertility and strengthen the vitality of crops. The use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms is not allowed. The use of farm-derived inputs, such as composting and crop rotation, is encouraged to minimize dependence on external resources. The Demeter certification is considered more demanding than traditional organic certification, as it not only regulates the absence of chemicals but also promotes regenerative and spiritual agricultural practices. Products with this seal are highly valued in specialized markets.

The Bio Suisse certification is a Swiss quality label that guarantees that a product has been produced following the principles of organic and sustainable agriculture. It is managed by the Bio Suisse association, which sets strict standards for agricultural production and food processing, promoting ecological and responsible practices. It is based on a holistic approach where the farm must operate as a closed system, prioritizing the use of its own inputs and reducing dependence on external resources. The use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, as well as genetically modified organisms, is prohibited, encouraging crop rotation, animal welfare, and biodiversity conservation. To obtain certification, at least 90% of a product’s ingredients must come from Bio Suisse-certified farms, ensuring high-quality products and environmental sustainability. This label is highly recognized in Switzerland and in international markets that value organic products of excellence, fostering production that is respectful of both the environment and human health. Additionally, Bio Suisse promotes fair and responsible trade, ensuring that farmers receive a fair price for their products and that decent working conditions are respected. The certification also covers processing and commercialization processes, ensuring that products maintain their organic standards from production to the final consumer. With higher requirements than European organic standards, Bio Suisse has become a benchmark for quality and sustainability in the agri-food sector.

The European Union organic certification is a seal that guarantees that a product has been produced and processed in compliance with the organic farming standards established by EU regulations. Its objective is to promote a sustainable production system that respects the environment, animal welfare, and biodiversity while reducing the use of synthetic chemicals and encouraging responsible agricultural practices. To obtain this certification, at least 95% of the agricultural ingredients must be organic, and the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), synthetic pesticides, and chemical fertilizers is prohibited. This seal, represented by the “Euroleaf,” is recognized in all EU countries and facilitates the trade of organic products both within and outside the European market, ensuring that consumers are purchasing a sustainable product free from chemical residues.

SOHISCERT is a Spanish certification body specialized in providing certification services for products and management systems related to quality, the environment, and sustainability. It mainly focuses on certifying organic products, both nationally and internationally, following the standards established by European and international regulations, such as EU Regulation EC 834/2007 for organic production.
SOHISCERT offers certification for a variety of sectors, including organic agriculture, livestock farming, food processing, organic cosmetics production, and related products.
